About Me

I’m a photographer, that’s my passion, hobby and it will be my last job. In Argentina, where I was born, I worked 8 years as a professional fashion photographer and I loved every single day of it. For me beauty is a pleasure for my eyes and, though I know beauty is subjective, I like to think that I have the ability to see beauty everywhere and in everyone.

I love to travel and that is the main reason I left my country. Also enjoy talking, long walks, of course I love to take pictures, sports, especially longboarding, snowboarding, skateboarding and everything with a board. Also I enjoy simple things as having a coffee or a beer and reading a book or meditate in the park or the beach. I love going to the beach at night, there’s something special about it, maybe it’s that I’ve always dreamed to live by the sea so it’s like a dream come true. Also I love live music and going to parties, specially if it’s during the day.

If I have to choose three words to describe me I would choose curious, happy and positive. Also I’m very honest, though I know complete honesty it’s not entirely compatible with emotional beens. I practice meditation since I was 15 years old and I consider myself a peaceful person. I don’t worry too much about anything and I don’t like to judge people as I think that limits the possibility to know someone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love couchsurfing. I have so many new friends now and I'm very thankful.

Also, I think reality is limited by your experience so I’d like to expand my reality by knowing other people with different points of view, cultures and ways. Also since I was a little boy I loved languages so it’s a way to learn and practice another language too. And last but not least, I like food and I’m open to try new foods.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love classical, Beethoven, Mozart, Debussy, Chopin, Vivaldi, etc. Also like tango. Also rock, like ACDC, Metallica, Guns n Roses, Coldplay, any band with a piano. I love jazz and specialty bossa nova that it’s a mixed between jazz and samba from Brazil. I like salsa, bachata but I don’t like reggaeton. I’m in love with reggae and electronic music.

Movies: All movies from Darren Aronofsky. I also like David Lynch movies, the classics and comedies. I watched a lot of movies though right now taking a break and enjoying the real world.

Books: To be honest I don’t read a lot and when I do I choose something that teaches me something. I’m starting to read novels so I expect to complete this section in the future with the books I’m going to read. I’ve read books from Paul Ekman, Richard Bandler, John Grinder, Daniel Goleman, Rafael Echevarria, Paul Auster among others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bungee jumping, rafting, mountain bike, zipline, extreme snowboarding but the most amazing thing so far was something that happened to me while I was on holidays in Fortaleza, the north of Brazil.

I don’t like to make plans so I went there without a hotel reservation. The beginning of trip had a lot of obstacles, but at the end it was paradise so I worth the challenge. The first obstacle was to get a hotel, as it was a special date (I didn’t know about that) and all hotels were completely booked. It was a friday and after walking all day the only thing I could get was a small room from Saturday until the Sunday from next week that was when I returned to Argentina. That was the obstacle number two, I had to spend a night at the beach. To be honest it wasn’t bad. I woke up with the sunrise and as it’s in the north almost in the caribbean the temperature during the night was 30 degrees celsius so it was very nice weather.

Obstacle number three was related to my credit cards. Just before I travelled to Brazil my bank change my credit cards, and I was sure they were enabled, but they weren’t. So I didn’t have my credit cards. With the cash that I had I paid the hotel and I only had R$50 left, enough for 3 days tops. So obstacle number four was that I have money for 3 days but I had to stay 9 days, but as usual I always think that something good will happen and I’ll manage somehow.

The next day I woke up at the beach and walked to the hotel. Before going to Fortaleza my brazilian friends told that I have to visit Jericoacoara, one of the best beaches in the world. So while I was walking to the hotel I saw a sign that said “Excursion to Jericoacoara, Morro Branco and Praia das Fontes” for R$50, all the money I had left. I didn’t think it for a second, I bought a ticket and I was the best decision ever. Obstacle number five was taking place. No money, zero, and still have 8 days ahead.

I went to the hotel to have a quick breakfast and went back to take the bus. Just before we started, the tour guide asked if someone spoke in english, and as anyone raised their hand I did. There was a group of 15 or 16 old ladies from Las Vegas, and I had to translate from portuguese to english, quite a challenge at that moment, but I managed well. When we got to Morro Branco the ladies started to ask me to help them buy water, coconuts or food, so I made friends with a couple of them. It was super warm, like 40 degrees celsius and I was super thirsty, but didn’t have money to buy anything. So when we got to the second beach one of this ladies asked me if I was thirsty and I said yes, of course, and I explained her what happened with my credits cards, the hotel and the excursion. She insisted in giving me money but I didn’t wanted to accept it. After a while, I accepted the money and when I took a look, she was giving me R$100, twice as much I had before the tour. So I asked her to let me pay back by taking some good pictures. She was taking pictures with her iPad, as well as the rest of the ladies that were with her, so I took a good picture, took the memory card from the camera and put it in my phone. I edited just a bit the picture and send it to her by bluetooth. She was amazed and almost started to scream of joy. All their friends came to see what was happening and when they saw the picture they started to ask me for pictures. So eleven of these ladies paid R$100 for pictures during the whole excursion and I went back to the hotel with R$1100. 22 times the money I had when I woke up that day, so you can imagine the way I felt. The rest of the days were simply amazing, having breakfast, lunch and dinner at the beach. Amazing! This is why I don't like to make plans... life can always suprise you...

Teach, Learn, Share

If you like meditation I can teach you the basics to start meditating. I can also teach you basic rules of photography and how to make better pictures even with your mobile phone or a few thing about nonverbal communication (body language) or NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show you around and give you as a present a couple of good pictures. I love photography and it's my way of leaving a mark in this world. I love to give pictures as presents and spread my pictures all over the world. We can go to chill in the Cuitadella Park, my favourite place in Barcelona or to have a couple of drinks...
