I'm originally from a fairly rural area of the Midwest. I like jogging, playing sports (particularly soccer), playing guitar and writing music. I'm living in Heidelberg right now working on a Masters in German Literature. I've lived in Germany for almost 3 years and have been learn Czech for only a little more than a Semester. I've very interested in languages and history.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to finally do some of the traveling that I've been wanting to do for the past couple years but never had the chance. I would also be psyched to meet some new people and maybe even form lasting friendships. I'd like to see Brno, Rome, and Athens most of all, and I would be open to hosting anyone traveling through.

As for Movies, I generally like romcoms and sci-fi.

I don't have any specific favorite book, but I am continually working my way through important authors in German literature. Hopefully I will be able to work with Czech literature in a few years.

I'd really like to pick up a little bit of some more languages. I'd really appreciate it if anyone could try and speak a little Czech with me, and I'd be more than happy to speak German or English with anyone.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could probably cook and/or give them some money to help cover any costs of hosting me. Besides that, I've pretty much just got my conversation and company to offer. I do enjoy meeting new people, especially people from completely different background than myself.
