My name is Paul, I'm 29 and I come from Alsace, France! 🇫🇷 I used to work as a rocket engineer in Germany 🚀🇩🇪 but I quit my job to cycle for 9 months with my sister and my cousin in South East Asia. 🚲🌍 After a lot of cycling, hiking and sailing in that part of the world, I came back with Tim, my Australian partner and we now live in Grenoble with our dog Hector, surrounded by the mountains ⛰️🏔️ now I cook at the Café Vélo, a vegetarian restaurant & bicycle workshop! 😁👨🏼🍳 Trying to live an increasingly sustainable life 🌱

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I've started to use Couchsurfing when I was in the US in 2016 to meet new people. It's a perfect way to meet locals, new travelers and to find wonderful plans/events abroad 😊
Music, Movies, and Books
Music begins where words end. Mostly rock, 80's, country, but I love discovering new music types 😉 Play several instruments. I like reading books from many different styles. Thrillers, ecological oriented, adventure...
One Amazing Thing I've Done
- sailing from Tasmania to New Zealand (and back) across the Tasman Sea ⛵ - 10 day Vipassana meditation 🧘🏼♂️ - grilling marschmallows on a lava flow in Hawaii 🌋 - taking the transsiberian train through Russia until the Baikal Lake - cycling for 9 months in Europe, South East Asia and Australia
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be happy to share some vegetarian recipes, some guitar or piano, some insights into the French language,... I myself love learning more cooking recipes too, the local traditions/cuisine/drinks and practice foreign languages!
What I Can Share With Hosts
Lots of stories, good discussions and unforgettable moments :)
My Interests
