About Me

I grew up in SoCal LA area and now I'm traveling the world. I've been to italy, germany, spain, greece, japan, korea, singapore, hong kong, and france. I love talking with people and just having a good time.
I started cooking 6 years ago and never stopped. It's magical to turn something raw and disgusting into something people fall in love with.

The community here on couchsurfing is amazing. 90% of the members here are my kind of people: free thinking, life enjoying, happy people. Happy because they're going after what they want. And that's who I choose to surround myself with.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love most music. Almost anything with a good melody/beat and/or lyrics and I'm in: Ben Harper, Damien Rice, Ray LaMontagne, Fink, Sheeran, Joe Purdy, Dashboard, Jacob Lee, James Bay, Reggae.
I absolutely love movies. I could (and have) lounge on the couch all day watching movies and listening to music. Here are a few that I've watched over 10 times: About Time, Love Actually, Rounders, Moulin Rouge, (I swear I'm not gay lol) Love and Other Drugs, What Dreams May Come, Patch Adams, Crazy Stupid Love, The Notebook, Legends of the Fall, Spy Game.
I want to read more. I've read the Alchemist and loved it to death.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've raised 2 amazing daughters who are turning out to be valuable citizens of the world. Still budding, 11 and 5 years old, but I can tell. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach what I love, cooking delicious food. I've cooked an array of different cultrual foods: pho, japanese ramen, cubano sandwiches, caq au vin, italian pizza, but I love bbq the most; just takes so damn long. My favorite and best thing, which everyone always says it's the best in their life, are burgers and steaks (I know my beef). Steaks are just sooooo simple and yet they're rarely done right.
I'm willing to learn almost anything. It's what makes us who we are in the end.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my love of food, my many travels, my awesome up-for-anything attitude, and just a great time for the brief blink of an eye that I'm around for.
