About Me

I am an Acadian male living in the birthplace of Acadie - Annapolis Royal. I enjoy meeting people from around the world and love travelling myself. I have a background in environmental education and love nature. Hiking, especially if you enjoy stopping to identify wildflowers... I love the beach and swimming in the salt water!

Je parle le français.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet new people with interesting stories. It is a wonderful thing. Travelling is such an enriching experience and to be able to share a bit of the wonderful community of Annapolis Royal with guests would be great. I am also interested in being a couch surfer in the future. I want to do a "slow travel" thing and enjoy the places and the people I am visiting.

I am a man of the 80s where music is concerned: Billy Bragg, Blondie, The Cult, Thomas Dolby, Kate Bush, Joy Division, Bauhaus, and more. Although lately I am big into Heilung, Wardruna, Mestiza, and other rabbit holes.

My favourite movies: Dune (any version), l'Homme qui plantait des arbres, Andreï Roublev., Brazil, Strings.

Favourite authors: Frank Herbert, Jean Giono, Tolkien, LeGuin, PK Dick, CS Lewis

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've watched bioluminescent fungi glow in a log in the forest in the middle of the night.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about local history and great hiking opportunities nearby. I can also point you to the nearest pub and probably join you for a pint.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My corner of Nova Scotia is a beautiful place to visit and I would be delighted to share with fellow travellers. If you love nature and tradtional cultures, you will have a lot to explore.
