FYI, I don't go by the narcissistic bullshit asking surfers to send "personal requests", explaining why you want to be host by me in particular. I know surfers when traveling are gonna send as many requests as they can, so yes a generic one is OK.

Im quite disappointed to see that too few women are hosting (because they don't need to to be hosted) and too many men are hosting only women (even when they have to choose between a guy with recommendations and a girl without any), so that couchsurfing slowly becomes a men hosting women platform...
