I love meeting new people and am fascinated by different cultures. I usually stay at hotels/hostels but I think Couchsurfing would be a better way to really immerse myself in the local culture. I'm constantly smitten by little things when I travel; the way Neapolitans get so passionate when they talk - to the point of grabbing each other by the face even though they're not mad at each other, or the way the Danes refuse to jaywalk despite there being no cars visible for hundreds of yards. Or the way some French waiters say, "Voila" as they present your entrée, as if they're performing a magic trick. I can't get enough.

Swam with dolphins in Hawaii. Not as part of a dolphin tour, but out of a serendipitous moment. I'm not particularly woo woo, but I swear those dolphins sought me out and deliberately slowed down so I could keep up with them.
