COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a couple of experiences hosting people in Paris and couchsurfing in Amsterdam, Brussels and Portugal.
Also, I've got friends from everywhere in Brazil and Europe, so I'm used to stay at others people's homes and to host them.

EMPATHY - Empathy must be built. You need to learn to listen well. That means to listen without thinking of what it has to do with yourself. Without thinking of what you'll say next. That means to see everybody as a human being, regardless of who they are. You cannot be a real human being without seeing everybody as an equal. Even your worst enemies. Even the worst criminals. Everyone's wounds comes from somewhere -- yours and everybody's else. Learn to listen to other people. Learn to listen to yourself. There will be no empathy without real, deep listening.
