About Me

ABOUT ME

My biggest passion is travelling. So far, I've visited only Europe with some exceptions but I'm preparing for further trips in future.
I'm totally fond of languages and I'm happy to study what I really love: linguistics. I took biggest interest in English, German and Spanish - that's why I know them the most but if you tell me your language, I'll probably know at least one word in it.
I'm a colorful person and try to 'color' everything around me :)

PHILOSOPHY

New experience....? Why not?
Generally, that is my motto. I would say that I'm an easy-going and open-minded person who always looks for an opportunity to try something new and learn more from it.
I try to live my life so that every day is different.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can guide people around or have a coffee/beer with them in Poznań ;)
Sometimes I go to my family home to Toruń - that's also a beautiful city!
I like also the other way round, meeting local people or searching for a host in the place I'm going to visit.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted and I've been hosted. I've got so much from all my hosts and when I can I'm paying it forward :)

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
I'm a fan of Polish music - especially Maanam but also Myslovitz or Lao Che. I also take a great interest in let's say gypsy music (Goran Bregovic, Bijelo Dugme), American gypsy punk (Gogol Bordello) and Italian music from 60 - 90 (Adriano Celentano, Lucio Dalla, Fabrizio De Andre).
Lately I fell in love with Ukrainian band: Okean Elzy.
I like also Queen, Blondie, Coldplay, RHCP.
Sometimes when I prefer music without any words I go for sitar (worth mentioning that I got to know it thanks to CS!)

BOOKS
"Godfather" - my favourite book and beautiful story about honour
"Steppenwolf" - from this book I learnt how to take life with a pinch of salt :)
I love Wisława Szymborska's poetry. If you don't know her - check out her poems right now!

MOVIES
I may not be original... I'll just say: "Life is a box of chocolates you never know what you're gonna get."
But who can like only one movie? I also love "American Beauty" and "The Silence of the Lambs".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Let me put it this way...

The most unusual place I slept: the black band for luggage in baggage claim zone.
The most unusual vehicle I caught while hitch-hiking: a... TAXI ;)
The most amazing party: on the Polish tram/ throwing color powder in Italy.

- The biggest trip I've gone on lasted 35 days and took place in 6 countries.

- I hiked for 12 days in Polish mountains only with school backpack (with food inside!), walking from one mountain hut to another. I managed to cross from Western to Eastern Tatra Mountains. Having done that I learnt that I can do more than I think.

- Visited 15 countries only in the year of 2015!

- Talking in 10 different languages almost every week of my Erasmus stay in Germersheim :)

- Dancing in many untypical places: cha cha in the Old Town in Poznań, tango in S-Bahn in Berlin... No limits when it comes to dance :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I like cooking (my family even calls me a pancake master) and I'm open to innovations in the kitchen, so I can show you typical Polish dishes and I'm eager to try cuisine of your country!
I'd be also very happy if you can teach me a dance :)
I take a great interest in languages so I'll be very happy to learn a bit of yours :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Unfortunately I can't offer a couch but I have a mattress and a piece of floor. My friends say it's quite comfy :)
I know Polish and I like teaching, so I can give a nice lesson of my language.
And... since I'm really into cooking, I'd be very happy to cook some tasty food for my guests!
