About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see and experience places all over the world, meeting nice people, enjoying life 😎😁

ABOUT ME
I used to travel every year, saving up all my days off. But always had in mind to live and work far abroad for a longer time. So begin 2014 I went to Thailand and Indonesia to become a scuba instructor, after I had sold almost all of my belongings. After a not planned return to The Netherlands for more than a year I restarted my plans...

Since end 2015 I've been living on Bonaire, Dutch Caribbean. Worked at a dive school as instructor the first half year and next I found a job with the government.
Half way 2017 I started my own scuba company. Since Jan. 2019 this is my main job. 2020 and first half of 2021 gave me time to come up with new ideas... Please check www.bonscuba.com 😎

I've been enjoying my time on this nice and relax little island. The sun is shining 360 days per year, playing beach tennis and mountain biking few times a week. Of course often a dive in the ocean, and the occasional hike exploring nature. What else do you need?!? :-)

PHILOSOPHY

Don't make life too complicated...

Enjoy now and don.t wait for retirement... You only die once ;-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people from all over the world. Showing them the place I live. Sharing travel experiences. Visiting other places and experience different things then the "very touristy" ones everyone knows.

Interests

Travelling, experience different cultures, meet interesting people and see amazing places. Many amazing experiences so far, life is just too short to see everything ;-)

Beach tennis
-can be quite addictive.

Scuba diving -basicaly seen everything in Bonairian waters, but still some surprises now and then, and showing this to other people is just awesome!

Mountain biking -lot of nice and challenging on- and off road routes and trails to explore on the island.

Hiking -by foot instead of on bike can be nice as well.
