About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Do one thing every day that scares me and see what happens.

ABOUT ME

Just finished grad school and wondering what lies ahead. Hope to stay in North Carolina, but ultimately that's not up to me.

I believe in living out of your comfort zone, and wringing every last drop out of each day. Impermanence is a central theme in my life, and I and appreciate the joy of starting over.

In the words of T.S. Eliot, "We will never cease from exploring, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time."

PHILOSOPHY

Mindfulness is everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since I can't host right now, I am just enjoying meeting other local CSers. I haven't hosted or surfed much but hope to do more of both in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All of the CSers I have met so far are fantastic people!

Interests

I live for the outdoors: hiking, backpacking, road cycling, anything that puts fresh air in my lungs and makes me feel small. Yoga, meditation, coffee, beer, good homecooked food, staying informed, following current events.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one? Every day is full of amazing things. But at the top of my list: trekking through moonscapes at 14,000 feet on the Annapurna Circuit, spending ten nights in my car in New Zealand and waking to the sun rising over the Pacific out the back windshield, and bike touring in the Southeastern U.S.
