ABOUT ME

I am retired and very talkative though I welcome being asked to stop. I can be humorous in the right company. I am concerned about climate change and attacks on human rights wherever they occur.

PHILOSOPHY

Independent Taoist Quaker. I am a thinker following the ideas of Gandhi, Edgar Morin, Gilad Atzmon.
I believe in Freedom meaning, being responsible for yourself; Justice, meaning the right to fair treatment for all; Peace, meaning solving conflicts using non-violent means.

My house is open to those who pass. I want to visit interesting people on my bike.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have slept on other people's couches since adolescence. I appreciate the welcome that I received.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I cycled to the south of Portugal from near Toulouse last winter.
I discovered how to build with earth, trees and straw around 20 years ago.
At age 65 I discovered that I have siblings in Australia and cousins in Belgium and France.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach construction with natural materials, gardening and composting.
I want to learn how to make the world a better place.
I can share my experiences and my produce. I am promoting a new method of building with compacted straw-bales to be called 'Paillepacte'.
