CURRENT MISSION To learn and interact with people from all over who I would likely never meet otherwise ABOUT ME I grew up in Des Moines with 2 younger brothers and my Mom and Dad. Went off to college about 2 hours away at the University of Iowa, where I got degrees in Finance & Marketing. After college, my roommate and I embarked on an 8-month trip around the world that was simply amazing. We Couchsurfed all over the globe and loved it. I am back in Des Moines for the time being, with a job in Marketing.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I have been hosted by numerous people around the world, using CS. I have also referenced many friends to the site. The joint profile I used with my friend to travel for 8 months can be seen at: http://www.couchsurfing.com/profile.html?id=247P8FF COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE During an eight-month trip around the world in 2007-08, my friend and I were fortunate enough to stay in around 20 different CS hosts' homes in various countries. I really believe it made our trip something to remember for a lifetime to something that changed our lives. To learn and interact with so many cultures opened my eyes to the fact that traveling is more about the human connection than sightseeing.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
Machu Picchu was amazing. The hike up the mountain was brutal but worth every single step once I reached the top.
