Overview
About Me
I'm a Parisian student and wanna-be researcher. I've studied in a research university and I've now started a PhD in computer science applied to music in Paris. My lab is located at Ircam which is a wonderful research center for music, which houses composers and performers along with the researchers!
I am a computer scientist that also plays music (French horn) and tries to infuse some music into the code...
Русские друзья, добро пожаловать! Я изучаю русский язык и я буду очень рад практиковать русский язык с вами, говорить о культуре, о литературе, о музыке, о жизни...!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on courchsurfing to discover new cultures with real people (which means I expect to speak with guests or hosts; couchsurfing is not just about free accommodation!).
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can host people in my (small) appartment, only for two or three days as I share the apartement with the flat and there's no living room (more is sometimes possible). More details in the "my home" tab...
I also usually work during the week, so you'll be on your own in Paris (but I can give some tips about where to go and what to see of course); I have more time on evenings and weekends!
And I'm not really a morning person, so if you want to get up at 6am everyday, it might be not convenient...
About friend requests: I usually only accept friend requests of people I have spoken with and met in real life.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: classical (mainly baroque, romantic and expressionist periods) or contemporary classical (Messiaen, Boulez, Xenakis, Berio), but also jazz, middle-age music (gregorian chant, motets...). Dubstep, experimental electronic music. But I can listen to and sometimes love any other kind of music.
Books: my favourite book of all time is "La Chartreuse de Parme" by Stendhal. I like lots of books, so difficult to enumerate all of them. Books by Dostoeivski, Zola, Balzac, Flaubert. I also like science-fiction.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am really fond of French grammar (yes, honestly). But don't worry, I am not going to be the grammar patrol unless if you really want to!
What I Can Share with Hosts
French food: ratatouille? Quiche?
Showing around Paris and its history, including some parts than are more unusual for tourists...
