Overview
About Me
Hello my name is Pierre! I am a composer and musician based in south Manchester.
I am a laid-back and kind person with a very friendly and relaxed attitude. Easy to make friends and always up for fun and games (especially card games) and dance. I am very open minded and also open to lots of new experiences.
I am half Belgian and half Scottish, so I can speak English fluently and French very well (but not quite fluent!),
I love sports, doing lots of endurance races like marathons and triathlons. I also love cooking and learning new cuisines and I am also vegan!
My time is spent somewhere between listening/playing/writing music, playing games (I love board games!!!) with friends, cooking, reading, sporting (hiking/running/swimming/cycling) and gardening.
I joined Couchsurfing initially when I took a year out travelling around India and Pakistan and it was the most superb and brilliant way to meet people and really understand more about the country and people. I'm not currently hosting as I don't have the means for guests in my current accomodation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couchsurfing in the hope that I might learn more about the people, culture and attitudes that I stay with or host. I love to not only share my own experience, but make new experiences together.
I am very keen to share skills of my own and learn from my hosts and guests, whether this be language, cooking, music or even just speaking and ideas with one another. Especially card games. Also trying to learn a decent bit of Hindi!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I am really open with my music taste, I like pretty much most things, mostly:
Jazz, world , classical, funk, soul, r&b, world jazz, contemporary
Books:
Lord of the rings (or any tolkien really), stephen king, any good book which is well written?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have written a range of pieces of music: some for film, groups, even an opera but my favourite was to write a piece for full orchestra. Hearing so many musicians all playing your music in one place so well, has to be one of the most amazing things I've done.
Teach, Learn, Share
Most of all, I have taught and shared my musical experience with others and this is what I would love to share with more people. I have taught to many; schools, adults, orchestras and so would be good to share and build experience with more people!
I am also a really keen cook, DIY aficionado and sportsperson.
I also love card games and have a huge collection so if you like playing cards and know some new games please share!
