Why I'm on Couchsurfing
To combine the usefull : exit the economic circuits of mass tourism, and the pleasant : meet different people. Different in their cultures, but also different in their way of thinking, in their daily environment. Is there a better way to connect with locals ?!!
Music, Movies, and Books
I like all kinds of music, specialy electronic, but jazz and classical as well. I'm also very found of indian music, I use to play the sitar. For books and movies, I have a clear preference for science fiction. But I don't spit on a good thriller ...
One Amazing Thing I've Done
When I was twenty, I crossed the Khyber Pass, between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Now this place his completly locked by the Talibans. Up there, people are all armed. At this time, you could buy all that is prohibited, drugs, weapons of war, and do your business on the cafe terrace (kinds of). I slept at the police station because there is no hotel. They just put me a bed outside, and I left the next day to Pakistan.
