ABOUT ME

After we finished university, my girlfriend Evelien and I decided to discover the world instead of starting the regular routine of life. We started in the fall of 2012 and plan to be on the road for three years. We had to work along the way to finance the trip but it added an extra dimension to it. After our travels we went back to Belgium, settled down and learned to cope with the routine life. Not too bad in the end.

I can describe myself as a really down to earth person who likes to enjoy the pleasures that life has to offer. I love being in the outdoors.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

During our travels we have periods of travelling and times when we settle and work to save up. We started couchsurfing for budget reasons but it is the people we’ve met that convinced us that this is the best way to travel if you want to meet great people and explore the local culture.
We also try to host when we settle down to work or after our travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For now we are doing a lot of travelling and therefore mostly surfing. It has been a lot of fun and our hosts have been wonderful so far. I hope to discover the hosting part of CS also and welcome and show around travelers.

Interests

I have a wide range of interests.
I like sports in general. I like watching games and I enjoy playing myself.
I love to be in the nature and go hiking or fishing.
I'm also interested in technology and how things are made. I am interested in discovering various business models and I like to travel to discover new cultures and ways of living.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am open to all kinds of music. When I go out I like some good house or techno. I can also enjoy a reggae or latino music parties.

In general I don'€™t spend much time in front of the tv but i do enjoy an occasional movie.

When I was in school I had to read quite a lot of books. Recently I have the time to read books I really enjoy, mostly adventure and life story books
