About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To experience the music, culture, and lives of people everywhere. To see past manipulative stereotypes.
ABOUT ME
I grew up 45 minutes drive from the closest shop, in rural California, near to the coast. After that I spent several years going to college before discovering CS. In light of this wonderful discovery I hosted as much as I could while finishing my 2011 semester, and traveled from England to Turkey and back that summer. The next year I finished earning my AA degree. In the summer of 2013 my girlfriend and I explored Nova Scotia, and drove across the US from Maine back to California. Now we are living together in Wales while she works on completing school.

PHILOSOPHY
let books and the world educate me better than any institution could.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Note: I keep replying to people using private messages by accident, so my incredibly low response rate is not really accurate.
I have mostly been a host, but also I have stayed with some great folks. Sometimes I tell people about couchsurfing who I think would thrive in this community.
I am also certified in TESOL, and would be happy to try to help you improve your English while I try to improve my teaching!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted a number of times, and been hosted once or twice; and every one of them has proved a memorable experience.

I try to read a wide variety of books in lieu of continuing a formal education.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Learning the life story of an old Mongolian man in spite of a total language barrier.
Teach, Learn, Share
I spend most of my time listening to music- Music swapping and sharing is almost always the first thing on my mind when I meet a new person. I like to try new things, and I can usually pick up the basics of a new instrument. I would like to try to improve my English teaching ability, and would appreciate any opportunity to practice! I am also trying to learn Italian.
