ABOUT ME

I want to follow my passions mercilessly. And in doing so I want to build my energy and faith so that I can spread loving mindfulness to all that I interact with. I have recently become very passionate about my tai chi practice, and have joined a wonderful community of sensitive and mindful people in the area. I use energy work in conjunction with my yoga practice, rock climbing and hiking to stay active. Backpacking is a great joy of mine that, though I am only seldom able to enjoy, always resets my mind. I am currently attending AB tech in Asheville, and am working towards a degree in Biology and Ecology. Another passion of mine is food: agriculture, production, and consumption. I am a foodie and some day my partner and I plan to create a farm. I am a very present and emotional person, and I have learned that these traits are what enable me to empathize with other (people, places, plants, rocks, etc.) I have also realized that this empathy has been the truest teacher I have ever had; it is the teacher of the knowledge and perspective of others. One of the reasons why I value travel so highly, is because it changes your perspective to see as others see, and if you do it right, to learn what others know.

PHILOSOPHY

My thoughts on life are constantly growing, flowing, and in motion. I can discover new truths everyday and I can hold them until they no longer are true to me ( a day or 10 years or a lifetime.) I am a mixture of so many people, and am influenced by so many different kinds of people. I don not only ascribe myself to a particular set teaching, though at the moment I am most heavily influenced by yogi philosophy - oneness and boundless love to all. I live my life with faith that I am enlightening the great energy of the web of one, and I believe that this is the most divine goal I can hold for myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I went to France and Switzerland for the month of March last year, I entered this community and was so pleased by the wonderful experiences that I had. I recommend people to join whenever they travel and have recently been more active on this site. I hope to host more surfers at this point, hoping that I can give back some of the good that came my way during my travels!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have great respect for anyone and their home if they where to share their space with me. When I traveled last winter, I did some camping outside, but mostly only couch surfed when I was not camping. I am very comfortable with the people that I connect with only this site. Now putting out the intention to meet interesting travelers, as long as my roommates and I are not too busy!

Interests

As mentioned above I love to do tai chi, and yoga, I love to dance, to garden, to read, to write, to cook, to hike add backpack. I love playing with my cat, Lady Alice, and hanging out in Asheville getting to know cool people with great stories to tell.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every time I practice tai chi, or climb to the top of a mountain, it feels like the most amazing thing I have ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been learning a great deal from the energy work I have begun. It is such a beautiful thing that I hope I can help introduce other individuals to as well as continue to learn the every expanding amount of knowledge that is out there. Always giving and always receiving.
