Overview
About Me
I was born in Anzali, which is a port in the north of Iran, but have lived in Mashad for years. The city is not really my favorite, though.
I taught English for almost 9 years but then grew sick of it and quit in 2016. Currently I do translation and interpretation and also as a cinephile, try to get myself involved with Cinema, through books, articles, films and the experiments I do in script writing.
I'm absolutely curious about meeting people and sharing ideas and experiences.
According to some people, I am friendly, honest and organized and my house is always clean. It is also said that I often pay too much attention to the details in everything which some believe can get boring.
I've got three cats and they are very friendly, especially "Oscar" whom you will find around you after a couple of minutes, trying to say he likes to make friends with you. He is one little naughty fellow as well and does things like jumping to door handles and opening them so please don't freak out. Lol! "Picha" is more independent, exceptionally playful and proud but he is also nice to guests. Btw, trust me Slavic language speakers, his name means "cat" in Gilaki dialect. Lol! "Rafa" is the 3rd dude who is a bit shy but will get more sociable after a while.
I am a vegetarian but my friends and guests eat as they wish, as long as they don't need my help in shopping for or cooking animal products. 😉

Please read my profile, especially the "My Home" section before sending requests or accepting mine so that we both make sure you're going to have a comfortable stay here. Thank you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I find meeting new people from different nations and cultures, quite interesting and having the chance to live with them for a couple of days, you can get to know their personalities, have conversations and share ideas. It also opens new windows to the world for you, through their experiences from different parts of it. To sum up, a new person is a new exciting discovery mission to me.
I like CS because of its brilliant idea in connecting people from different parts of the world, who would most probably never get the chance of getting to know each-other, if it weren't for CS and it's all for "Free"! It's just about people, friendship and kindness so let's not ruin it with attitudes that don't belong here. Using CS is way different than going to a hotel or hostle or using Airbnb where damned money is paid in return for service. I always try to keep that in mind and hope everyone does as well.
