Overview
About Me
Currently working in Vancouver, Canada. Born and grew up in Thailand. Travelled a few places in between - and will travel some more! :)
Meeting, getting to know people, make friends, cooking and eating food together are some things I really like. I also like making/sending postcards.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is fun, affordable and more interesting! You get to meet and share a space with someone who grew up very differently from you. But with that there can be pleasant surprises and connections made that would not happen otherwise were we to meet in a different setting. On the other hand, hosting people from around the world is another form of traveling one can experience from home - and a chance to show someone local hospitality!
I've met a few couchsurfers through meetups and groups especially those in language exchange groups. I've also hosted quite a few people in these past 8 years, but not through CS :)
Interests
Traveling, exploring new places, stories, music, art, biology, plants, trivia, drawing, cartoons, food, food history, tea and coffee, peaches and mangoes, dialogue, UWC, learning, etc.
I also love walking, just plain walking around. It is definitely one of my favourite activities :) also cooking (and eating together) Good food is extra delicious when you can turn to the person next to you and say "wow, this is gooood!"

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen a a few different genres of music and I have read books mostly related to school but now that I'm not in school anymore I have to relearn how to enjoy books again! Currently reading more sci-fi and food history.
I like movies too. But I like cartoons/animation a lot. Didn't grow up with Spongebob and I'm slowly discovering how funny Spongebob is. Love most of the Studio Ghibli movies. Also Over the garden wall was another good one I've watched recently.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Completed a cross country skiing marathon and came in LAST just before they were going to go look for me! I was very very new to skiing and snow in general.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach a bit of Thai and a bit about Thai culture :) I can share and tell you my favourite stories that my mother and grandmother had told me, relating to bits of Thai culture, language, food, philosophy and places. I also know some traditional Thai massage.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Teaching/learning a bit of the languages I know, some random skills I have. Also stories, if you like them. I love cooking, so we can definitely cook and share delicious meals!
