About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See all the mountains of the world and meet wonderful people

ABOUT ME

I'm optimistic, realistic, cynical, and pensive. I enjoy a good beer, dancing like goofballs, challenging one to a chess match, conversing about love, or cooking a meal together. Being with fun, genuine people is the most rewarding way to spend my time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting and surfing while traveling. I would love to reciprocate hosting someone should you find yourself in North Carolina!

Interests

The outdoors excites me. I feel alive, free, and connected with those around me. I love to burn marshmellows, jump into freezing lakes, and pitch a tent. Then, the next day I'll wake up and continue on backpacking. Or kayaking, or canoeing. Just getting out there, pushing myself to my limits, and sharing a good experience with others makes me happy.

I enjoy climbing, cycling, walking, photography, talking until 4:30AM, sporcle, watching movies, cooking over a fire, playing pranks, TED talks, playing computer games and board games

I like playing games with people, especially on the trail. Mafia, killer on the trail, ninja! I also like strategic board games and poker.

In my alone time I enjoy a challenging game of Dota2.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiked to a pn Aigüestortes and ended up doing a 4 day trek with the funniest tios in Catalunya.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn how to live on the fly... how to be confident about hitch hiking, camping on the side of the road, whatever. I'd love to learn how to cook an authentic Spanish/Middle-eastern/Latin America/Chinese/Thai/Greek.... ok, ANY dish.

I would love to show people the skills of backpacking and kayaking; i can tell you how computers work; i can tell about growing up in the US and my impression of our current society; I know a handful of card games, how to make a mean fruit tart, and i've dabbled in a few history classes so we can have a deep, exhausting conversation about colonization and imperialism
