Together with my wife-to-be, we're situated in Grand Forks North Dakota for a business trip. We try to go out every weekend to enjoy nature and get to know the US better. We both are civil engineers. We obviously love traveling and meeting other people. I'm into sports, Ola is into reading books. We both enjoy hiking and we love the mountains. Anyway, if you're up to dancing in the rain in the middle of the street, hiking through the country/mountains like there's no tomorrow, having a laugh over good food and a proper pint of beer - I am your man (but I'd rather drink vodka) :). The love of my life, on the other hand, is about the inside - she's rather calm and steady and if you'd prefer to have a deep meaningful conversation on life or literature she's your pick :). https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/aleksandrarozek - this is Ola

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Because I don't consider sightseeing and visiting the venues and certain city landmarks as true traveling. I love to get to know other people, share good conversation and see the place from the angle locals do. AND ON TOP OF EVERYTHING IT'S PURE FUN AND AWESOMENESS TO GET ALONG WITH YOU LOT! :)
Music, Movies, and Books
YES PLEASE. :)
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I was a leader of the winning rugby team. Best time of my life :). But I have a lot of crazy-ass stories from many sporting events and excursions. I have hitchhiked alone through Baltic states, jumped with a parachute (completed whole course!), free-skied in the Alps and jogged/hiked through Norwegian and Croatian mountains. But the most amazing thing in life that happened to me is finding love - https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/aleksandrarozek - with whom I started a whole new adventurous life! WE WERE IN CHILE AND ON EASTER ISLAND - visited lava caves, hiking Patagonian trails, getting to know awesome people and drinking pisco sour! :O Slept in abandoned shacks in the middle of nowhere on Iceland and in the Swiss Alps. We hiked Walker's Haute Route. We saved lifes, we got to know Russel Means' nephew.
Teach, Learn, Share
I guess I can teach you some history of Europe from Poland's perspective and would be more than eager to hear what you've got to say. I'd love you to tell me more about your culture and in exchange, I can give you the same. I'd love to get to know your story better, share with me your wisdom/experience/knowledge - this is the greatest gift one could give to another human being :).
What I Can Share With Hosts
A great talk, smile and laughter :). Maybe some Polish cuisine? :)
