ABOUT ME

There is something elusive about travelling that I find fascinating. When I was young, I was hitchhikig through Europe with one spare t-shirt, a blanket and no money. Now I'm usually using planes while trying to trek as much as possible, preferably in some mountainous and cold regions.

As of my education and hobby, I'm a programmer (you can visit my website to get a grasp on what I'm programming). I worked as a programmer in some IT companies for some time, but I quit to start my PhD. This way I'm learning much more about life and world and I have much more free time to travel - so it's a double win for me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm completely new to CS. When I was younger I was hitchhiking a lot, but usually slept in a tent or asked for a place at random houses (it worked pretty well, somehow). Now when I'm travelling it is mostly trekking in remote, rather coach-less places, like Alps or Morocco. However, a lot of my friends are active participants of CS (both as surfers and hosts) so the idea is well known to me.

Interessi

I have quite wide interests. Besides of math (mostly discrete math and fractals) and programming (artificial intelligence and computer graphics) I do also like philosophy (I have read - and liked! - Plato, Kant and Nietzsche, to name a few), old movies (Antonioni, Fellini) and books (Proust, Dostoyevsky). Recently I found biology (with a focus on genomics) fascinating.
