I love pretty much every form of running and skiing, being outside, playing sports, and having adventures! Running is my passion, and I typically run 60+ miles/week. Then winter rolls around, and I'm not sure which I love more, running or skiing. My other passion is physics: I work in a high energy ultrafast x-ray laser lab on campus, and I love the excitement of learning new things about the world through my research. I'd especially love to host and meet people who enjoy the outdoors, to me there's nothing better than spending the day exploring in the mountains. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like supporting sustainable and affordable travel. I believe in the idea of couchsurfing (It doesn't cost me anything to share what I have with you!) and I really like meeting fun other people from around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading. Right now my favorite author is Haruki Murakami. I'm on my 10th book of his and now I reeaally want to visit Japan. I can't believe how good the guy is.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Here´s a couple :) Ran a race up and down a 4200m/14000ft mtn and finished in 7th place :p. Travelled for a week on skiis across 60+ km in the Northern Selkirk range in British Columbia, carrying everything we needed on our backs/sleds. Had my physics research published in the peer-reviewed open-access journal Science Advances: http://advances.sciencemag.org/content/4/3/eaap9744
