CURRENT MISSION Live simply, love people, do good... ABOUT ME Hi! I'm 32. I'm french which means I love to eat, I love snails, cheeses and baguette... lol I've been on CS for 10 years now and had ONLY good experiences!!!! I hosted almost 70 people so far and surfed around 20 different couches. I also met plenty of people through CS meetings. PHILOSOPHY Two important values for me: help and share.... I think everybody brings me something even if we don't have a good relationship... Everybody from CS can bring me something and I hope I will give them something back... Life is all about sharing, giving away, meeting people and experience life....

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I love the Couch Surfing project. I love the idea that I can meet friends anywhere I go. It's a really good way to promote fraternity among people in the world. And the best way to really discover a country and a culture. I host a lot of people at home and I show my city around. I organise meetings for the CS group "Dijon". My experiences: October 2007: Shanti Party...the first meeting. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I have had now heaps of experiences of couch surfing and each time, it was a very good experience. For example, I learned few things about english sign language like A,B,C....Thanks to these meetings, I discovered a lot of things about other cultures. Music, Movies, and Books
"Revolutionary Road", "Chocolat", Deception Point by Dan Brown. Several books by Marc Levy. I love his "Les enfants de la liberte" which is the story of his own father during the WW2. I read "City of Joy" by Dominique Lapierre, few days after leaving Kolkatta, the city where the story takes place... This book is so beautiful but hard... That's what I saw in Kolkatta when I worked for the missionaries of charity... Hopefully, the situation in India has changed a few... But I can imagine what is in the book was and is again completely real... Probably my second favourite book... I read the book "Moi, Bhoudda" by Jose Freches. It's a biography of Bhudda... Very interesting and spiritual! Few months before going to Nepal... My favourite book: "L'étranger " de Camus. I discovered this book at home and I took it for my journey from France to Prag... I GUZZLED this book (if I can say it like that)!!!! It was very well written and it's definitely my favourite book...until the next "favourite book" lol. "Chocolat" might become my next favourite one... No, don't think so even if it's close!!! I love the book of Anna Gavalda too: "Ensemble et c'est tout". "Mille Soleils Splendides" by Khaled Hosseini. And I'm an unconditional of Christian Jacq. He wrote some books which take place in Old Egypt with the mythology and the pharaohs. I've read "Ramses" (my favourites by this author), "La Pierre de Lumiere", "La reine Liberte" ( had read approximatively 20 books by him).... I like Max Gallo and his books "Napoleon" and " La croix de l'occident". This last book takes place during the religion war in Europe in the 16th century. "Le Cri de la Mouette" is the autobiography of Emmanuelle Laborit, who is a French deaf comedian. She received a Molière ( best award for theater in France). About deafness: "Seeing voices" by Oliver Sacks - "Freedom Writers diary" a true life story about teenagers in LA who wanted to escape from the violence of their neighbourhood. That's why they wanted to go to university...and they succeeded!!!! There is a film based on this book with Hilary Swank (good film too). My favourite theatre plays: "Antigone" by Jean Anouilh and "Richard III" Shakespeare.... I've never seen them but I've read them. I actually saw a special version of "Richard III" by a South American company and it was so great!!! A good memory and very fun!!! Can you imagine "Richard III" can be so funny huh??? And I saw Antigone but it was the version of Bertold Brecht. (It takes place during the WW2.) Very good but I prefer the play by Anouilh. My favourite(s) film(s): "Black Cat, white cat" by Emir Kusturica, "Slumdog Millionaire" (seen few weeks after my return from India..) "Volver" by Almodovar, a very good spanish film with Penelope Cruz, "American Beauty" with Kevin Spacey and Annette Benning, "Les Invasions Barbares", "La reine Margot". I love "Revolutionary Road" (movie and book), Music: I love Stromaé, the song "Uptown Funk" by Bruno Mars. I love french basics such Jean-Jacques Goldman, Indochine. I love rock music, tribal music.. Actually I'm very openminded about music... I love dancing. Gives me a lot of energy!!!!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Walking and meeting people in slums in Kolkatta... Took a shower with an elephant... Waking up on Joanna Beach, facing the ocean after an "under the stars night"... (Great Ocean Road, Australia) Joining a philosophic way of life...
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm now involved in a philosophy school. We are sharing life and experience, building a better world following the philosophic way of life. I'm a philosopher learning about himself, about others and the world, learning how everything is interdependant in life. We are all interdependant and we are all brothers and sisters.
What I Can Share With Hosts
Do you like cooking? Me too... Do you like french language? I can help you... Personally I would like to learn other languages....I love to discover other cultures. I can also help you learning english. Sharing a good meal, sharing about travels and life experience. Sharing friendliness and togetherness in daily life... Sharing a good laugh, sharing fun times, crazy times, silent times.... Sharing life.
My Interests
Discovering the world, looking around me, observing, be quiet in front of something which is wonderful, reading, learning a lot of things, meeting a lot of people and learning from them.... Badminton, swimming, have fun with my friends, philosophy, travelling.... My job is one of my interests. I'm not a "work addict" but I have the chance to love my job of social worker... Each day is so completely different and you live a lot of emotions and intense moments.
