Overview
About Me
I am very interested in the cultural differences we can all share! I love traveling, discover foreign countries and cultures, and learn or improve new languages by meeting different people.
I find it fascinating the different ways of life, the differences in our living space or interactions depending on our background/language/culture... That is also maybe why I am always on the move!
I lived in Japan for one exchange year during my studies in 2013-2014, travelled to India at the end of 2015, which led me to Nepal where I did a lot of volunteering, in the reconstruction post-earthquake. I went back several times for an overall of one year and eventually became fully involved in the setting up and construction of a carpet factory in a camp of displaced people.
After completing my studies in Bordeaux, I moved to Rotterdam in 2017, ready for the new adventure life has to offer!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The people you meet in CS have the same values about sharing, welcoming... it's a great community and we always learn so much from each other!
My firsts CS experiences took place during my stay in Japan in 2013-2014. I received a so warm welcome and I will always be very thankful to the persons who hosted me during my first days, and also during my almost two months trip over the country. (100% hosted by very generous couchsurfers!)
After that, the Couchsurfing adventure went on by hosting people in Bordeaux during my student time. It's like traveling by staying at home, and I loved it.
Now, after moving to Rotterdam, I'm looking forward to meeting amazing people again!
Interests
I am really interested in languages; I’ve learned Breton, a local language, and also English, Spanish, Japanese, Nepali and now Dutch! I really want to become fluent in several languages. Language says so much about one country and culture, and I find it fascinating.
I am also passionate about architecture, and in particular natural building methods and innovative ways to have more eco-friendly buildings. The notion of heritage is also something that questions me a lot, our position about it depending on countries and cultures.
