I am in UK right now! I have achieved one of my life goals! Why not experience more and create more interesting stories of myself! So here I am! Try to become a couch surfer and maybe one day a host!

I know I am such a newbie in couch surfing and do not have any references so far. But I believe someone would love to value my first try and help me increase my credibility.

I am doing my Master's Degree in Newcastle, UK. Study here is really inspiring and frustrating at the same time. There are so much to learn and I always find myself illiterate. ORZ! I am a open-minded person who loves to talk with people with different perspectives and cultural background. I can be reserved and quiet, but also could be talkative, passionate and curious if our relationship gets closer. For traveling, I am always prepared for surprise and unexpected situations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

An experience couch surfer used to tell me, couch surfing different from other kinds of traveling is the most touching, down-to-earth and sincerity-exchanging experience. Hearing this makes me felt I have to try it to complete my life since I am always keen to the novel things. I really want to have my own story about such a unique experience.

Interests

Playing basketball; swimming (only know one style, :P); used to love Japanese manga and animates, but right now try to be more three- dimensioned(realistic), since life is hard, isn't it? But I will never forget my love for "two- dimension world";
During my leisure hours, I prefer watching TV dramas & movies, and of course, traveling. Sometimes, I would do some silly drawings.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: a lot! Rock music in 90's; classic music; OSTs of my favorite movies; and the latest hits of pop music, recently a big fan of Lana del Rey

Movies: works directed by Quentin Tarantino and Tim Burtone; animated movies made by Disney and DreamWorks; Marvel series; Harry Potter and Lord of the Ring series; French comedy and movies from other countries like Japan, Italy, Korea. Of course some excellent Chinese movies; some outstanding independent films. As an authentic Chinese, I would never say NO to classic kong fu movies.

Dramas: the Walking Dead; Modern Family; Game of Thrones; Orange is the new black; Breaking Bad.

Books: Chinese history( there are so many to learn for such a long lasting period); Classic literature, including novels written by Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, and Chinese famous writers like Lu Xun, Lao She and Lin Yutang. I recently started to read Si-Fi and find the hard Si-Fi difficult to understand since I am not majoring in science. Harry Potter (of course) and kong fu novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did not stop pursuing my life goal after experiencing many frustrations, and now here I am, study in UK and continue to improve myself.
