About Me

Just received my Masters Degree in Theatre Arts from SDSU. I love the arts, history, binge watching tv shows or movies, and reading voraciously. Generally more introverted, but still sociable. Not a big partier, but can have a good time. Not a smoker, but have lived around those who do, so not a deal breaker. Pet friendly, have two cats and a dog at home in San Diego. Wish I had the funds to travel more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking for someplace to stay in NYC while I work on my friends' musical that they're bringing to New York Musical Festival. My housing plans fell through and I am in desperate need of finding someplace to stay for cheap (or free!) while I'm in the city from approximately July 7th or 8th through August 5th. Will contribute to cleaning/chores/groceries, able to live out of a suitcase tidily and take up as little space as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE the Outlander books by Diana Gabledon, and the show version on Starz. I have an ever expanding library of books and I enjoy reading almost anything as long as it has a compelling story and is relatively well-written. Same goes for movies, generally; I have a quirky sense of humor, and I enjoy dark comedy, sci-fi, mystery, and of course, drama and comedies. My current favorite podcast is My Favorite Murder from Feral Audio. I'm not always a fan of fluffy stories, but there are exceptions. Music, I like a lot of "indie" music from about 10 years ago and really haven't kept up much with the latest music trends, and I like old classic rock and folk music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2005 when I was getting my BA in Theatre, I did a summer internship in Edinburgh, Scotland during the International Fringe Festival and I absolutely fell in love with that city. Someday I'll go back.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will try to dazzle you with the stupid amount of trivia I've collected over the years...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help clean and handle chores. I can contribute towards groceries, though I am a bit of a picky eater and am quite comfortable fending for myself. I'm not much of a cook, but I can make some amazing salsa and bake cookies. For this musical theatre project I'm working on, I can try to get some tickets for you to come see the show!
