We are Rafael and Giovanna, a curious couple that like reading, watching movies, cooking, learning new stuff, knowing new lifestyles, etc.

One of our life goals is to explore the world. By that, we don't mean just to put a lot of checks in a list, but to really understand how people live, their problems, the positive things, and so on. We believe it can be accomplished by meeting people, tasting the food, listening to history, losing the breath with the landscape, walking in the cities, watching the sunset, living...

One step a time, we walk this (self) knowledge road, free of judgments and misconceptions.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Life is about moments. Sometimes we need someone to give us a chance, and sometimes we can give someone a chance.
After traveling all around Europe and experiencing the hospitality and kindness of Couchsurfers from different cultures and nations, we understand that it is possible to learn about people's life by traveling, but also by welcoming them to our home.
In the current moment, we would like to help people that need a place to stay, and that can tell us a little bit about their culture in exchange. (maybe cooking something :) )

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

A multidisciplinary university trip to Argentina, Bolivia, and Peru (to the top of Macchu Pichu)!
We lived for 17 days on a bus (we started calling home) with another 50 persons, among teenagers, elder and a lot of university students.
It was an amazing experience, full of incredible moments - as the sunset in Uyuni Salar. Of course it wasn't just about salt deserts, endless valleys, ancient ruins and snow and heat on the same day. It was also about being part of a group, take a cold shower in Ande's winter, live the culture of the place, get stuck in a roadblock for hours, run after the bus/home. We will be glad to talk about this experience =)
