About Me

I like going to concerts, small ones particularly, with unusual or unknown bands. Not exactly the type of person that likes going to clubs but wouldn't mind going. It's fine. Specially if i'm drunk. I prefer to spend the nights talking and "supertramping" through the streets with friends.
Love radical and mountain sports: climbing, surfing, snowboarding, diving, skating, ...
I freaking love to travel, know different people with different tastes, the way they arrange their apartments, their cooking methods, what they listen to and read, etc. Lately I've been taking some interesting in photography and writing. I'm also an easy person to socialize. It feels awkward to write about me but I guess you can get the "general picture".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm only on Couchsurfing now because never actually realized the potential of this to expand our horizons. When I usually travel I always carry a tent on my back and end up camping in some beach, farming place....alone. With Couchsurfing besides having a much more comfortable night I get to know and interact with people beside myself, which is incredible. And I could also thank a friend of mine for practically obligating me to use it. So...thank you bro.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to almost anything. Psychedelic rock, surf rock, garage rock, drum n bass, electronic are my favorite;
Movies with a detailed story, kinda like an illustration of a book and movies that play around with your brain until you say: "What the hell is going on ? "And you end up watching it again to totally understand it. Also animated movies, Disney classics for sure.
António Lobo Antunes; Ayn Rand; J. D. Salinger; Monsanto, J. Rentes de Carvalho; Fernando Pessoa; Patrick Modiano,...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is like a story. I was doing a surftrip through the Costa Vicentina of Portugal with a group of 6 or 8 friends - for those who don't know Costa Vicentina is a preserved area of Portugal that goes from Sines until Sagres (the southwest point of Portugal) always along the coast near to the ocean. - it was around 9 p.m. when we decided that we should spend the night camping on a cliff with nothing but a huge forest on top of it and a dirt road that we guessed it would lead to its edge. There were two cars and we started driving through the dirt road, cutting across farming fields, until the dirt started turning into sand. We bogged the car two times in the middle of nowhere and the 9 p.m. suddenly were 11 p.m. and we hadn't advanced much, nor had dinned. We were starving and surrounded by huge trees at this point. I had no idea if we were still going on the right path but we kept going, dreaming with the perfect place to spend our night. When we finally got there we "parked" the car at the end of the dirt/sand road and walked for a km through the forest, by this time it were 12 p.m., until we reached the edge. I mean it's so hard to explain that night. We camped on a small path of sand near its edge, the sky was so clear and nobody was feeling sleepy. We just lied in front of our tents with our bellies up, drinking and smoking while listening to the waves crashing down there in the shore and following the shooting stars.
