Overview
About Me
Feel free to call me Raffi. I am a feminine GAY GUY, which means that I am biologically a man but acts and lives an effeminate life. I am a sports enthusiast. I play badminton and now transitioning to beach volleyball. I am a fan of art though I'm not good in making them. I do take photo so that counts for something. I do love to laugh, so pardon my glee when I meet you! I work round the clock but always delighted to meet up with travelers who are lost in our beautiful town.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have come to terms that the only place I have been is Philippines-where I was born, San Diego, CA- where I currently live, and Phoenix, AZ- where my family lives. So now I want to try exploring new places, and there's no better approach to it than to meet the locals who knows the place better. I am also looking forward in making connections with the people I meet and be a good friend to them
Interests
As I said before, I love sports so you might see me playing vball at the Coronado beach every saturday morning. I'm not a pro, but I'm getting there (few more years to go).
I do love taking pictures of anything that hits my point of view. Basically everything.
- photography
- movies
- traveling
- sports
- food
- beach volleyball

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing thing that I've done is being able to observe a surgery when I was 15 years old. It was back then, when I was still living in the Philippines that a patient told me to observe his surgery in the exact operating room. With the patient's consent and the Surgeon's consent, I was able to witness an amazing operation. Mind you that I was a Junior in high school at that time.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not so sure what are they asking in here but I'll give it a shot.
Teach:
I will be able to teach my host or the people who I am hosting how to cook some Filipino food
Learn:
I am willing to learn anything that is offered to me whether it will be a simple greetings in their native language to a ritual that is necessary. I am also exited to learn culture
Share:
I will be able to share photos, as tangible memories to keep from the experiences that both my host or my guest and I will partake.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my passion for baking and cooking with my host. I am also happy to share my Filipino culture insights just in case my host is curious. And one of the most thing that I wan to share with my host is my TIME! Time is of essence. Being able to share my time with the host means I am willing to give my undivided attention to my host who have spent, not only time but also their attention while sharing their humble abode with me, a stranger at firsthand.
