Came to France for love, stayed for work. :) I live in Massy, which is 30-45 minutes south of Paris by public transport. I'm a big fan of backpacking and have learned that it can be great to step out of your comfort zone and push yourself, both physically and mentally. I enjoy awkward stories/situations, skateboarding, playing videogames, hunting for Space Invaders in Paris,

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I love meeting fellow travellers, and now that I have a (small) appartment near Paris I can finally host. I have surfed several times in different countries, and I've also hosted a couple of times back in the Netherlands.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Into the Wild, (500) Days of Summer, Kick-Ass, Suckerpunch Music: Alt-J, Florence + the Machine, Woodkid Books: The Dark Tower series, World War Z, A Song of Ice and Fire series
One Amazing Thing I've Done
- Hiked the Camino de Santiago in Spain (890km in 35 days) - Hiked the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal (highest point - 5416m) - Swam with two giant sea turtles - Spent 4 days on a desert island in Indonesia - Hitchhiked the United Kingdom and Ireland - Travelled for 22 months in Australia
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some skateboarding tricks, a couple card tricks (real magic!), how to cook 3-minute noodles in only 2 minutes, or I can share all the philosophical wisdom I've gathered on my journeys.
What I Can Share With Hosts
A couple of awkward stories.
My Interests
Backpacking - I have travelled to several countries, hiking long trails, hitchhiking, working on farms, you name it. I love to talk about my travels, and to hear stories from others. Skateboarding - Nothing gets rid of stress like rolling around on your board and trying to come up with new tricks to learn. I'd be happy to teach or learn from fellow couchsurfers. Movies and Series - It's great to be social and meet people, but I also really enjoy just crawling behind my laptop with a bag of chips and a nice cold Coke.
