Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I have just started traveling independently whenever an opportunity arises, and couch surfing one of the most interesting ways to go about it. The best part is that you not only get to share stories and experiences with fellow globetrotters, but can also experience places closer to a local's perspective.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I'll listen to and enjoy almost anything but I love Baths, Sigur ros, Mogwai, Porcupine Tree...and the Strokes. I'm striving to find good jazz and welcome suggestions! Books: Rushdie, Alice Hoffman, Amy Tan, Marquez; historical fiction and magical realism. Movies: I love movies. Anything From Lilo & Stitch to Snatch to A Scanner Darkly to Fantastic Planet. As long as it's not got Ben Stiller.

Lived in a houseboat for a week.
