CURRENT MISSION Relentless pursuit of adventure ABOUT ME I love reading. Libraries and book stores are sanctuaries of tranquility. The trick is to remember that reality is always going to be more exciting and not get lost in fiction, sometimes you can forget. I can be really lazy in the kitchen although I recently discovered how to make a delicious chicken stew. I prefer to cook for many than to cook for one. I'm very good at washing dishes! When I dance I do it 100%. I can be pretty good about getting you to dance too. I have very undiscriminating music tastes. Not a fan of heavy metal, the headbanging gives me a sore neck. I love being introduced to new music and going to concerts. I once had hair down to my knees (but not anymore) and I have a freckle on the bottom of my left foot, weird right? PHILOSOPHY Try not to judge, it can be hard to do. Make yourself comfortable wherever you are. My number one is to pursue what makes you happy. It might be unoriginal but sometimes cliches become cliches because they're just so true. If you can find what makes you happy, stick to it. And don't stop looking till you find it.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I lived in Edinburgh, Scotland for 7 months and just moved to New York 4 months ago. I miss being a part of that international, traveling community and I hope to reconnect by hosting through couch surfing! COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I've never actually done it, although many friends have and they've all loved it!
Music, Movies, and Books
I love going to the movies, but it can be a waste of money if you're trying to get to know somebody. It's a bit of an escape. Action movies aren't really my thing except for the last Bond movie, it was awesome. As for music and books. Sometimes I come across a lyric or a quotation that is just so true I have to write it down. It's pretty exciting when that happens.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Went on a pilgrimage to Hemkunt Sahib which is in the Himalaya mountains. It was a 5 day journey of harrowing escapades. It was surreal.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am of mixed raced origin. My mother is American and my dad is Indian. I grew up Sikh (if you don't know what that is, then maybe I can enlighten you) but have a time rebelling against things you can't get away from.
My Interests
Books (except for crime thrillers), music (especially live), good chat
