About Me
Traveling is my favorite hobby. I enjoy exploring new places, learning about other people’s culture/history, meeting locals and other travelers, and trying the local food.
My favorite type of souvenir is the music I listened to during my trip. It’s the best way to recall the experience I had, and it’s free :)
————————————————————————————
Currently learning Turkish, after which I plan to learn French and Spanish (Fluent in English and Arabic)
I have read some of the classics, but am in a constant struggle where I feel I will never have enough time to read everything I would like to and to learn all the languages and acquire all the knowledge I wish to have
I can talk about economics and finance all day, if that interests you. Most people can’t stand a conversation about economics/finance, but tell them it’s about money and they’ll probably listen closely :)
I think its important not to lose touch of how we once were as children, how we were curious about everything, had no biases or preconceived notions regarding others, and were able to find pleasure in the simplest things (on that note, I recently started playing the Pokemon games again :) )
I work in taxes in the financial services industry
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet people and make friendships all over the world. Through CS, I have met a number of great people, some of whom have become friends that I have stayed in touch and met with several times
Couchsurfing and traveling in general make you realize how very similar we all are, despite our different cultural backgrounds. Making friendships with people from another side of the planet has become as easy to me as making friends with someone from my own background, but the former is definitely much more interesting :)
