I'm a queer person with two elementary age kiddos. I share custody of my kids with my ex-husband and we have a mostly amicable relationship, however, he does not want me to stay at his house when I visit the kids. This means I need to find somewhere else to stay when I'm visiting my kids in northern Virginia. Currently I live in an off-grid yurt in rural Maine and visit northern Virginia whenever I am able.
