About Me

CURRENT MISSION

After having travelled for 2 and a half months this summer (with the help of some couchsurfers) I now want to help out som pople who want to surf here, in Dublin.

ABOUT ME

I am living in The North of Wicklow near to Dublin in a beautiful cottage near the small Sugar Loaf mountain. I am working hard so that I can enjoy the fruits of musical labor and I am getting better everyday, maintaining good mental/spiritual and physical health with Qi Gong, am studying an ever imposing Masters degree in Philosophical Hermeneutics and Ancient Greek. Oh I also teach English a few hours a week to help pay the bills!

My friends say that I am caring, intelligent and a generally an interested person.

I love to learn and share what I have learnt with others!

PHILOSOPHY

What we do in life defines us, over time based on what we've done. We are the owners of our karma and we are, as human, in a position to listen to the breathe of life and to navigate safely toward love, trust and understanding

Sometime it is better to learn to like what we get, rather than to always get what we like.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After having travelled for the first time this summer with the great help of couchsurfing, my girlfriend and me are offering our couch to others in the same plight. Look forward to hearing from you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For me, this is the beginning...(still)

Interests

I am enjoying travelling with my guitar at the moment and creating music is something I have wanted to do for a long time but never started to do until recently. Making music makes me very happy and I hope that I can share it with others.

Qi Gong (/Tai Chi) I find this is very relaxing for the mind and body and gives me more energy and more patience for others and myself!

I am always interested to discuss things in depth with people and to learn from people and their opinions. There is a lot of philosophy that I want to learn about and so spend a portion of my time reading and learning predominatly the Philosophy of hermeneutics (how we interpret), Philosophy of Art, and of Nature (Gadamer, Heidegger, Plato etc); I am considering a PhD in philosophy at some stage. Recently enjoy listening to lectures about Aristotle's Virtue Ethics on youtube.

I find animals relaxing and so like to spend time around them. This also goes for nature.
