About Me

Hi, I am Rebecca, and I am 35 years young ;-) I am very adventurous, and enjoy meeting new people and hearing their histories, sharing a nice meal, and a nice bottle of red. I grew up in the West Midlands in the UK, but from as young an age as 5 I knew I was destined to travel. I have lived in the USA, Sweden, and for the last 10 years Copenhagen has been my home. I have a daughter who is a happy 6 year old. We love our life's, she is enrolled in ballet and violin classes, so I am busy making sure she has many good challenges and experiences. I have worked in Business and recruitment roles for many years, but now have decided to work towards my goal of becoming a social worker. My little free time is spent volunteering, and doing advance Danish courses, so I can do my second degree in Danish in Social work, its a challenge, but I love to work towards challenges, and show my daughter anything is possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and meeting people, since I have decided on a career change my life style has had to change, and now I need to do more budget travel options, but this sounds like fun, I'm aboard :-)

Interests

I like to read, go to the cinema, cook occasionally. I recently invested in a nice Nikon, so I hope to use it, and become a better photographer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Jazz, but also a bit of a pop girl. I like most types of movies, especially those based on True stories, as well as books. I read history, biographies, chick flicks etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent one summer in Ecuador. I volunteered on a project to help the working street children. I spent most of my time with them, playing, painting and cuddling. A fantastic experience :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach very bad Danish, (not rude words, just I have very bad pronunciation in Danish) and I can share lots of fun stories and smiles.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My spare room when available, a great kitchen, and wonderful warm shower.
