About Me

Hello! I'm Becca- I used to have a very active profile on here and can't get into the e-mail I used years ago. It's been that long!

I'm from New Jersey but I've lived all over (Virginia, Italy, Mexico, Philly, Colorado). I'm a former at-risk youth therapist and now I am back in Colorado to manage a women's wellness start-up. I lived out West for a brief period of time after grad school years ago, and fell in love with it- now I'm back for good and am looking forward to exploring out here. I also teach yoga, coach soccer, play flag football, paint, upcycle, hike, watch my bball teams, love brunch, camp, climb, happy hours, roadtrips, etc. etc. I have a weird obsession with off-the-beaten-path travel and odd roadside attractions (most recently: TinyTown).

Some of my most awesome memories included times when I've Couchsurfed on here or have hosted people. I've been traveling a lot for work in the last few years and am happy that I can now host people again!

Can't wait to meet all you surfers out there!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was actually very active in the Couchsurfing community in grad school; I loved hosting and being the hosted. It was wonderful to meet new people from all over the world and exchange experiences on my turf or theirs. Its all about karma in this karma, really. You get what you put in in some form/feeling or another.

I fell off the Couchsurfing scene for awhile for work. I'm happy to say that I am back! My job out here enables me to travel around and connect with new people from awesome places.

There's nothing like getting to know a place through the people who know and connect with it best. Or just getting to know new people. Now that I have the time and money to travel again, I'd still pick time-spent with awesome people over spending money on a generic hotel alone.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy certain artists from most genres; hip-hip, r&b, classic rock, reggae, some country (it's growing on me), bluegrass, motown, Broadway, etc. Mornings: HipHop and slay, DJ Khalid, Meek Mill. Afternoons: Reggae, India Arie, and Trevor Hall. Night: Van Morrison, my yoga mix, etc. I love movies and its hard to pick favorites, but Shawshank Redemption is up there and anything Will Ferrell or by Judd Apatow. Chuck Palahniuk is my current author obsession.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a few months living in a tent on the beach in Baja California Sur in a yoga/vegan community while I was getting certified to teach yoga. I'd still take that over a penthouse any day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you how to throw a mean spiral? Also pretty good at cooking, especially vegan/vegetarian recipes. I know my wines. We could bust out some downward dogs as well. I'm up for learning anything new! I'll share anything except my toothbrush.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, dinner, witty banter, drink at a local dive, company to a town event, laughter, and so on :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Egypt, England, France, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Virgin Islands, British, Virgin Islands, U.S.

Countries I’ve Lived In
