About Me

Hello,

my name is Rebecca and I am 20 years old.
I grew up and still live in a small village in Bavaria, Germany.

I went to a secondary school of education and started my
apprenticeship as an industrial clerk and finished it some months ago.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started traveling around the world in November 2018.
So the main reason for joining the couchsurfing community is to meet some new people on my way.

I will spend most of the time in South East Asia, but I want to travel to Australia and the USA too,
but feel free to talk to me, no matter where you live as I am interested in all cultures.

I guess as I have no references yet, it maybe will be hard to find a host,
but I still hope that someone is giving me a try.
I am looking forward to meeting you.

Interests

I love traveling *surprise*. Different cultures and people from different countries have always made me curious and I also love to practise my english skills.
A huge interest of mine is to ride horses. My mum put me on the back of a horse when I was very young and I have stuck to it since then. Furthermore I am in a dancing group, taught myself to play the piano a little bit and like to learn languages. So I started learning Chinese (Mandarin) some months ago.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the best experiences I had so far is probably the time I spend in China with a group of other teenagers. It was my first time in Asia and we visited Beijing, Tai'an and Shanghai. In Tai'an we stayed at local families and learned Chinese at a school. While we were in China they once told us: "You came as tourist, and left as a student and most important, as a friend." And that was amazing.

I also had a great time with my parents in Thailand. We went with the night train from Bangkok to Koh Samui and I loved being in the train with all of the locals.

Last year I went to Bulgaria with my bestfriends and I still remember how happy I felt dancing with them to my favourite music in one of their night clubs with the ocean right beside me.
