About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Magellan in the making - interesting note, he never actually made it around the world - although his ship did.
ABOUT ME
Standing at 5 ft, 10.5 inches and weighing in (throughout most of the year) at 165 lbs, I would describe myself as an upbeat, optimistic extrovert. When I first meet people, I am relatively reserved in the sense of adhering to social normalities. As I get to know people better and am more confident in the idea that they don't think I'm a complete weirdo, I am very carefree and really don't care about how silly I look or act. I'm able to have a good time in most things I do - it's especially fun with others when they let go, relax, and truely not worry about how they might look in attempting something they've never done before.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Work in progress. Had couch available for some time at home. Now that I'm travelling, I suspect I will be surfing from time to time.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Sadly, I've only hosted one couple. Thankfully, I'm gradually getting more and more involved in Couchsurfing as I travel around the world. With each new experience through couchsurfing, I'm becoming more and more excited by it.
Interests
Like most people on couchsurfing, I love to travel, experience new cultures, and meet new people. I have a great passion for helping others becoming the best that they can be. Although I am not a teacher, I love to teach and see others grow. I enjoy reading when I have free time and am currently trying to get better at photography. Sports I particularly enjoy include soccer, basketball, racquetball, and ping-pong.

Teach, Learn, Share
I'm trying to get into photography, playing around quite a bit with my new SLR as I travel around the world. I feel as if I've learned some things, but I still feel very uneducated when it comes to technical understandings of camera mechanics. I would love to learn more about this.
I have a wealth of experiences and stories from my travels around the world so far. From getting a root canal in Vietnam to taking language classes with elderly people in Australia - as most people probably know on CS, the travelling road is always an adventure.
In terms of technical skills to teach or share, nothing comes to mind. What I can offer is friendship, understanding, empathy, and kindess that has been shown to me by countless amounts of people. In spite of cultural differences and beliefs, at our core, all humans seek happiness and love - in one way or another, I've seen this everywhere I've been and it is a contagious feeling that you can't help but pass on to other people.
