CURRENT MISSION

For the past 5 years I have lived in Iceland working as a glacier guide and ice climbing instructor.

ABOUT ME

I am an easy going person and have quite a dry sense of humour. I love to meet new people but also need my own space sometimes.

BOOKS
Mainly I read lot of non-fiction and novels based on real life. Examples; Whale Hunt in the Desert, Marching Power, and Shantaram.

PHILOSOPHY

If you ever start taking things too seriously, just remember that we are talking monkeys on an organic spaceship flying through the universe

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First time in Portugal, and it was even better than I imagined. Shared stories, experience, food and of course wine.

Then twice more in Indonesia.

I have also had many work exchange experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept rough on an unfinished bungalow hanging over the sea in Southern Cambodia, and experienced the most amazing generosity of locals.

The most dangerous words in the English language are: "I know". Education never stops.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I rarely travel without Jungle Speed, which is the best card/board game ever invented.

I know riddles that I can share with you for many hours. Seriously. They will make you love me or hate me.

As a watersports/outdoor instructor I have a fair amount of experience Kayaking, Canoeing, Surfing and Climbing. I am always happy to teach. So if you would like to learn or practice any of these, it would be my pleasure.

There is small chance you could accompany me on to our local glacier.
