Hey yeah, im a pretty relaxed bloke that is currently on a bit of a indefinite world tour checking out new places and experiencing new things. I grew up in a Australia watching kangaroos and went to the University of Wollongong in Australia watching kangaroos (yes that was a lame joke, haha). I spent the last five years working as a Geotechnical Engineer in Wollongong and Cairns. Although realise life is short and always had the intentions of doing a big trip before I become too old and useless. So here I am.

I have travelled before but this trip will be the longest and the first time that I have gone by myself. I have been travelling for about three months so far in South East Asia. I have started off Europe in rural Spain helping out on a small family run Eco Hotel, exploring the natural beauty that surrounds and eating plenty of oil soaked baguettes, haha. But the time has come that I am about to explore a bit more of Spain and the rest of Europe (well what I can see) over the next couple months. I enjoy getting amongst nature and going on missions (eg. camping, hiking, riding, diving etc) but are also don't mind the occasional beer or few. Other interests also include watching live gigs, attending festivals, mucking around on the drums , general banter and laughter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The main reason I have decided to sign up to couch surfing as I have been told by fellow travellers in South East Asia that its a great way to meet people but also would like to maximise my funds so I don't have to go back to Australia sooner than I said I would with my tail between my legs.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

I have wide musical taste ranging from the cruisy stoner rock riffs of Kyuss, old funky bass lines of Parliament, reggae tunes of Bob Marley and Fat Freddies Drop, 80's synth of the Cure and even like to dabble in hip hop and electronic dance music although I find it hard to keep up with DJ names. If its good music I generally enjoy it. I have noticed Europe has a vibrant festival scene and are hopefully going to attend a few while im here. I also am very stoked on having a ticket for Burning Man in the USA later in the year!

Also like a lot of people I am currently hooked on Game of Thrones.
