Hi! My name's Rémi-Jo White, I'm a French American Swiss guy of 26 years old! One of my biggest passion in life is to travel, and while traveling, living the best experiences is clearly one of my favourite part. And for that, what could be better than meeting people? I love making new friends and sharing amazing moments with them! This is why I created an account on couchsurfing. I'm willing to meet people, and see what life really is through locals' eyes, discover what the world is really like. Life isn't just staying in super expensive hotels, it's also meeting new people, living experiences, trying new things, discovering yourself. Why do I travel? The answer lies in one word : DISCOVERY. I want to discover myself, but also discover people, their culture, and all of that while smiling 😀 I am planning to visit EVERY country in the World, now I am at 81/197, maybe yours will be next? :D

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

READ BEFORE ASKING AND APPLYING : I'm here to share stories with people, to show them around, meet them and spend amazing moments with them ! Being nice to people, and hoping people to be nice to me. As simple as that! 😉 But I won't host everyone. I do have some criteria : - if you just want a place to sleep because you got super drunk and don't want to enjoy the culture while traveling, keep scrolling! I'm not your man! - I only have one extra single person bed, so no friends allowed! - I'm vegetarian, but not the kind to force people to become vegetarian too, it's just about my life, so no meat nor fish in my appartment! But you can totally eat meat or fish in front of me if we're dining outside ! No problem :) - be a clean and tidy person! I'm my only housekeeper, not yours! Take off your shoes when entering, make up your bed and respect the furniture and stuff in my flat! - I accept host in order to make new friends and show my town to nice people, so I do not accept people who are not traveling! Prove me that you read my profile by telling me what's your favourite kind of music ;)

Heavy Metal (Gojira, Equilibrium, Sabaton, Rotting Christ, Orbit Culture, Narjahanam, Myrath), Jazz and I've been playing the piano for over 15 years! I have 200+ movies in my house, too hard to pick just one! But if I had to leave on a desert island, I'd probably chose "The Last Samurai" and "Mononoke Princess"!

One Amazing Thing I've Done

- I got lost on a remote Japanese island and shared sake with Japanese and French people I met while wandering in the forest 😂 - I was invited by the CS host of a friend in Budapest, Hungary, to a very hidden traditionnal hungarian pub to drink a lot and dance until dawn! That was so amazing! - I got tattooed in Kabul, Afghanistan! - I went to Belarus in October, during the protests and my local friend and I got trapped in a pro governmental protest and had to escape but they saw us and ran after us - I went back in Afghanistan to meet up the talibans. I ended up as a prey in a human chase by the secret service of the Talibans.

What I Can Share With Hosts

I can offer you : - WiFi - a single place bed - normal accommodation (electricity, shower, warmth, etc) - amazing moments ! I love playing the piano, so I could play some nice songs to you! And I have several guitars so maybe could we play together? 😄 I also have tons of Blu-ray's so feel free to watch one if you want! I personally love popcorn with cheese! 😂

My Interests

I'm a primary school teacher, in Switzerland. I think it's an absolute joyful job and I'm proud to love teaching 😀 About Heavy Metal music, I've been growing listening to Metal, and maybe that's why I love sharing stories and meeting people? I love the metalhead mentality, we're nice people always up for some drinks and nice moments! 😉
