Hey everyone! My name is Rene, Im originally from the UK but I live in Mexico City. I am a graphic artist and love drawing and painting and when I have the chance I love travelling to new places and meeting new people. I also love reading, camping, cooking and pulque!!!

I am on Couchsurfing because I have never really liked the idea of just travelling all booked and reserved and knowing everything thats going to happen on your journey, for me, travelling is all about the unexpected and meeting new people and new experiences, I have travelled extensively around Mexico and I am very familiar with Mexican culture and traditions.

兴趣

I have many many interests, however my passion is art, I have been drawing and painting since I was a little boy and I would say it is probably my biggest skill. Having lived in Mexico for many years I have come to love this country and consider it my home, which is why I am learning Nahuatl! I am still a beginner but I have found that by learning this language you can learn so much more about Mexican traditions and culture that most of us never get the chance to experience. I also absolutely love mexican street food [not the expensive type haha] and would say that nothing beats 'una orden de tacos de barbacoa' and a good tlachicoton haha.

My favorite books include, The God of Small things, El joven Lucio Cabañas, Ways of seeing [by John Berger] and many many other books. I love all kinds of music but recently I listen to a lot of afro jazz/funk / some cumbias, some chicha peruana and many other things.
