About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Experience the beauty of life and nature. Continuous learning and wondering of aspects of life . I Love meeting inspiring ; open interesting people. Try to make of every day a nice celebration. I try to step out of our (all money driven) rat-race by figuring out different way of life. Good time spend is unpayable life-quality. Dare to experience, inspiration, curiousity, instead of have the mindset ''time is money'' and work for the max earning model.
ABOUT ME
Hello Couch surfers/travelers,
I am René and now because of prepairing my trip, i have no own place anymore , but sometimes i can host in the house of my mother in Zeeland nearby Goes and in the week sometimes hangout/accompany you in Utrecht/Apeldoorn or Leidemn or incidentally meet in my lab in Utrecht for a coffee/meal (no hosting) . I am a practical dutch, spontanuous , a bit crazy in an innocent way (in my opinion of course), open minded, enthusiastic, who likes to travel, meet and communicate with people of all different cultural/religious backgrounds. Beside travelling & working I cook & bake a bit and also can show you around the country, by cycle?? or car if you like! I have a wide interest outdoor activities, music, dance, nature, sports, psychology, spiritual ways (holistic) and HSP. Originally studied Electronics, already 26 yr selfemployed innovation(tech), empowerment trainer&coach and now initiator of non-commercial and independant MAkers LAb Lab in Utrecht to share knowledge & experience of Old (building/repairing) New Technology and Innovations (Virtual Reality, 3D printing, minicomputerboards like Arduino, Raspberry) . I always like to meet other travellers and also make them feel welcome and comfortable including prepairing meals, but now i am more & more working online, the couchsurfing gives a good possibility to combine this during my (flexible)job and preparing my lifelasting trip as working Nomad https://www.meetup.com/meetup-group-DDNgRwBt/ . Just follow your plans/schedule or flow... and maybe we 'll meet..
Few things : I can not appreciate drugs, overload of alcohol and/or smoking around me. I have much more appreciation in (some) interest and/or consciousness in way of (healthy)living more then just only having fun for a temperarly ''nice'' feeling: it can be combined i think when you are practising life on more grown-up ways...
PHILOSOPHY
Experience life! try to be open for differences. Exchange with people to understand; Create and contribute to nice atmosphere and give support/help where you can, whereever you go , whatever is happening.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Since 2012 I started to host travellers through Couchsurfing & warmshowers.
I like to share experiences with more wide thinking & living people, not only busy with work/carreer,house,car& kids, but also like to travel, like nature, culture, habbits and being active with more conscious sustainable living.
since I sold my house in 2022 , i am living offically in Goes (Zld .) before my world(Africa?) cycletrip i want to start 2022, but for my work & hobbies I am reguarly 'camping' in area around Utrecht and working in an interesting place with a lot of tech-stuff . Which part of Netherlands are yuou? just contact me - lol
If you like, you are invited to eat a moslty heatlhy (camping)meal (or all) and on request can make some tours/trips within 150km of this area. In a year i hosted approx 10 - 25 travellers, and the limitation is mostly practical of i have a busy schedule and not always being at home in Zeeland.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As cyclist & camping-enjoyer nature, i did use the CS some time ago ( just before Corona ) last year in Germany and Poland and i really like the meeting and staying with interesting local well-known people. I was used to travel with my tent cycling through middle of nowhere, but the good stories i heard about CS where true and while visiting cities it is not simpel to put the tent. And as i have a place and like to meet open people of different cultures so i liked to host Couchsurfers in Utrecht and sometimes Zld in Weekend in a village near Goes. There you see also some pictures of..
