Hi! I’m Revere, 24, from Singapore 🇸🇬. I grew up in Texas 🇺🇸 and recently graduated from university there.

I’m calm and quiet, preferring cafés over loud bars. I love history and want to read more books, but only if I can pull myself away from my social media addiction… I have a sweet tooth and eat a lot more than I look like I can! I also like to think I’m musically inclined, though I’m now learning that inclined does not mean proficient…

I travel to learn how a country operates and how the people in it live, and I enjoy most seeing the smile on people’s faces when I greet them in their language (most recently, ‘barev’ in Armenia!). Cheap, good food is the way to win me over, and I will never say no to trying something new (unless it involves insects…)

That’s a lot of ‘I’s in this section, but it is ‘About me’ after all! Enough about me, I’d love to learn more about you! Let’s meet up over a nice coffee or meal; you choose… I don’t like making decisions…

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’m travelling from Frankfurt to Singapore without taking a plane!

So far, I’ve stayed with friends in Germany for a week, made great hostel friends in Vienna, volunteered at a hostel in Kosovo, got bed bugs in Ohrid (don’t worry I’m clean now…), taught English in Istanbul for a month, hitchhiked with a good friend through the Caucasus!

Next, I’m going to Seoul, China, SE Asia … then Singapore by December

My philosophy behind this trip is… life is fragile… and short. If I don’t go out and do this today, what then can I say if tomorrow I fall and break my leg (God forbid)? I’m living my childhood dream, but also making this the best year of my life. But, I believe that every single year should be the best year of my life, so who knows what’s gonna happen next year!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’ve lived in the USA for over 10 years, so we could talk all day about life in the USA (it’s not always a party 😀🎈). I’ve also lived and was born in Singapore and served my country in the military, so we could talk about Asia too.
