I studied social work in an institution for people with a mental illness until September 2013 and am working in a child welfare service since then. I'm supporting families which have all kind of problems and also have to ensure the protection of their children. Although it's very hard sometimes I do like my job.

I am a very spontaneous, uncomplicated person and I'm always enjoying it to be in good company. I love animals and help out in the local animal shelter. So if you're attended by a dog - just bring it with you, he ore she is more than welcome! (Of course are other animals welcome, too - but it might get a bit difficult if it is bigger than a goat. But well - I'm always open for new experiences and if you're attended by a tame and step climbing lama - why not :-)

... Update: meanwhile there's an old cat here and I guess he will be super grumpy if I host another animal ( - although I didn't tried the lama thing yet 🤔) so I'm not able anymore to host dogs, sorry!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really like the idea of traveling alone without being alone: Of course I'm able to keep myself busy - but traveling is way more interesting if I don't have to! Thanks to my hosts I discovered the most beautiful corners, lakes or mountains of the places I travelled - no chance to find these hidden and magic treasures alone.

Dear surfers: sometimes I won't be able to answer your request immediately if you send it long time before your arrival - I'm a very spontaneous person so it's not possible for me to say what I will do at a certain day in a few weeks. Otherwise are last-minute-requests no problem at all! Just try it and you will definetely get an answer.

But (!!): I don't accept every request: I don't like "copy and paste-requests" or if they sound as if my flat is just a free place to sleep. This isn't my sight of couchsurfing! If you don't make any effort at all to read my profile to write at least one personal sentence or even my name - why do you expect me to host you in my flat then? For me it's also a question of respect for all of these wonderful people who are offering their homes to you!

If you have no references at all, please make sure that you have enough informations about yourself and more than just one picture in your profile!

I don't have a spare room, so you will sleep at my sofa bed in my living room. That also means that I can't use my living room as usual during the time I host somebody. So I prefer requests for not more than two nights - of course it depends on how we get along with each other :-) And you might to get along with a cat sleeping at your belly or back (depends on how you're sleeping, he's not that picky.. 🤷‍♀️)

Interests

I love doing all kind of sports, especially playing volleyball, go swimming and riding my bike. I also enjoy vegan cooking, reading all kind of books and visiting concerts and festivals: I really love music! I think that it is some kind of magic that there exists just THE perfect song for every specific emotion:-)
