About Me

Hello! I'm Riccardo but my friends like to call me Riky!
I'm a positive person, always having a smile for everybody, outgoing and handy. I feel very comfortable around people even though sometimes I like to have some quiet for myself.
I love playing sports and, most of everything, I love being at open air!

Whenever I'm travelling I always try to deep myself as much as I can into the local culture. Trying the food, talking to people to understand their stories, experiences and advices, trying to dance as a local.. Drinking the local beers and, of course, having fun!
PS: I LOVE adventures and "different" life choices!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing mostly because I like to make new connections and meet new people. Sharing ideas and experiences with different minds and ways of thinking it's always a curious experience! ;)

Interests

I'm interested in diving, ocean exploration, marine archeology, politics, renewable energies and robotics.
Since 2012 I volunteered in a non-profit organisation called "ingegneria senza frontiere-italia" (eng: engineering without boundaries) thought which I've been involved in many projects of international cooperation.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite authors are: Pedro J. Gutierrez and Joe R. Lansdale. I red all their books.
I also like Fred Vargas, Ryszard Kapuscinsky, Herman Hesse, David Foster Wallace and Italo Calvino.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A friend of mine always says: "you know, I might be very happy in life just by offering something to drink and share stories about this huge world we live in."

And I totally agree! Especially if you add a dash of good music and an enjoyable meal for all your guests.
This is all about sharing and being happy about it!

And, of course: wifi, washing machine, a bed or a sofa, kitchen, bathroom...

Countries I’ve Lived In
